9.22.17 Atmosphere: LOUD, drunkin sport bar. If you want a quiet meal don't go here. Menu: GREASY GREASY GREASY. Limited. 4 items for GF - Chicken, Chicken, Chicken or Cod. I ordered the Walleye broiled w/rice pilaf for $18.99. Walleye was swimming in oil, with a not pleasant seasoning. Rice was mushy and flavorless. Not one entree on the menu comes with a vegetable side. Not. One. They only happen to have a veggie option IF they have a wedding or event that happened to want them. I've never heard of a meat and potato/starch only meal. So in addition to the over priced greasy, flat meal, we had to pay extra for an iceberg lettuce bland salad. My husband ordered the all you can eat Friday Fish w/baked potato and soup. The soup was good, potato large. The battered fish left him feeling sick, very sick. The waitress was kind, accommodating and efficient. If you want a loud, sports bar w/lots of unhealthy food, go here. Otherwise, keep looking. The 2 star rating we saw online is well deserved.
The bartender took our plates could tell we didn't like it and didn't bother to ask if there was issues. I would not go back here to eat again.
8 years ago we visited the port, and because of our experience we were very excited to return. Today the service was good, and that's the only reason I give it 1 star. We got an appetizer, saute mushrooms on toast with melted cheese. .. it was a greasy mess of cheese and mushrooms on croutons.... not what was described at all, and my philly cheese steak was poorly shredded beef.... out of items on the menu, flat soda.... if it was not for our waitress, I would have given it a negative rating. Won't be back!
This is yet another restaurant that suffers from poor lighting design and concept - but do not let that deter you. The food is yummy. The 104 Burger is one of the best in MN with red pepper mayonnaise and the prime rib is cooked to perfection. I took a peek at the wine list and it has some winners. I hope one day to try the bowling alley.
My girlfriend ordered Sweet and Spicy Chicken Skewers - Three skewers stacked with seasoned chicken, roasted peppers, onions, mushrooms, and pineapple layered on a bed of rice blend
They were skewers drowning in this Asian sweet chili sauce she could not even eat them they were so bad, the rice was served on the side and it was bland.
Not sure where to begin... First off they upsold us with a side salad by asking "Soup or Salad?" not mentioning that there is a $2 upcharge I would have said neither if informed. The salad as iceberg lettuce with a cherry tomato and a small cucumber. I ordered crapy stuffed shrimp with au gratin potatoes (They were so overcooked the cheese turned to oil, they were disgusting.
Stay away from the saute mushrooms on toast with melted cheese. what a joke. gf's taco salad looked ok, sigh...
over priced garbage, never again.
